Huddle Up is fantasy football for families. We keep what it takes to run your league and nothing more. We don't show ads, we don't sell your information, and there are no trackers or analytics.

What we keep

About parents.

  • Your email address, to send your sign-in codes and any reminders you turn on.
  • The first name you give us, and a picture if you add one.
  • Your time zone, so kickoff times show correctly.
  • That you confirmed you're 18 or older, and your parent PIN if you set one. We store a scrambled version of the PIN, never the PIN itself.

About kids. Kids don't have accounts or email addresses. They play in kid view on a parent's account. For each kid we keep a nickname the parent types and an avatar picked from our set. Nothing else about them.

Your league. Team names and pictures, rosters, lineups, trades, scores and board posts. Families in your league see these, along with your name, your picture and your kids' nicknames and avatars. Nobody outside your league can see any of it.

The iPhone app. If you turn on notifications, Apple gives us a token for sending them to your phone. The widget and Live Activities use a separate token tied to your sign-in.

Cookies. One keeps you signed in and one remembers light or dark mode. Those are the only cookies we use.

Bringing a league from ESPN. If you bring a league over, by link or with our Chrome extension, we receive that league's data from ESPN: league and team names, managers' names as ESPN lists them, rosters, the schedule, scores and rules. The extension only runs when you click Send, on the ESPN page you have open, and never reads or keeps your ESPN password or sign-in. The league data waits up to two hours for you to review it. Once the league is created we keep what the league needs, plus each manager's name on any team nobody has claimed yet, so the commissioner knows whose link is whose.

The waitlist. If you join it, we keep your email so we can tell you when you can sign up.

Who helps us run it

We don't share your information with advertisers or data brokers. A few services handle it for us so Huddle Up can run:

  • Vercel hosts the app and keeps standard request logs, like IP addresses, for a short time.
  • Neon stores the database.
  • Customer.io sends our emails. Sign-in emails go out with open and click tracking off, and Customer.io doesn't keep a copy of the message.
  • Apple delivers notifications to iPhones.

NFL stats come from BALLDONTLIE. Player pictures and team logos load through our own servers, so the services behind them never see you.

How long we keep it

As long as you have an account. Sign-in codes stop working after 15 minutes.

Deleting your account

In Huddle Up, go to Profile and tap Delete account. That removes your email, name, picture, board posts, devices and sign-ins, and your kids' profiles unless another grown-up in your family still uses them. We also ask Customer.io to delete what it has about you.

Your teams stay in their leagues so the season can go on, without your name on them. League history, like past scores and trades, stays with the league. Copies in our database backups expire on their own after a short time.

If you can't sign in, email support@huddleupleague.com from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you.

Kids

Accounts are for parents and guardians 18 and older. In kid view, kids can draft, set lineups and follow the scores. Anything else, like trades, adds or board posts, needs a parent's PIN.

We don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has given us some, email support@huddleupleague.com and we'll delete it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
